PACKAGE HOLIDAY @ CLOONLISS LODGE, SELF CATERING ROSCOMMON Day 1 – Cruise On The Shannon Why not relax and enjoy a Cruise on the River Shannon with Viking Mike on a replica Viking Boat to historic Clonmacnoise or into Lough Ree where Viking Warbands plundered and pillaged it’s many islands steeped in religious history. This would be a must for us if we were visiting this area. Again I would be delighted to assist you in organising this excursion. Day 2 - Fun Activities and a walk in the park Roscommon Bowling Centre has so much to offer:-
Bowling, Video Games
Upsie Daisy Jungle Gym and an indoor hall where you can play 5-a-side Soccer,
Badminton, Basketball and Indoor Camogie.
Are you hungry yet? There are some lovely Restaurants and Coffee Shops in Roscommon Town catering for all the family! Fancy a walk after all that nice food.. Loughnaneane Park is set in the middle of the town and it is beautiful, don’t forget to bring some food for the ducks and the camera to take those golden moments, it’s very picturesque. Day 3 – Galway Shopping Trip – By Bus Fancy a day’s shopping in the City of the Tribes – Galway City where you have a vast selection of shops, restaurants and a beautiful beach overlooking the famous Galway Bay. More importantly the Bus leaves Cloonliss Lodge Mon, Tue, Thurs and Saturday at 9.35am, Wed and Fri from Mount Talbot Cross which is 1km away at 9.40am. Arrives back at approx 5.55pm
Day 4 – Nature Walk & Fishing After such a hectic day yesterday, everybody might like to relax! How about going for a nature walk with them – you might even catch a glimpse of the wild deer or follow the Suck Valley Waymarked Walkway alongside Cloonliss Lodge.
The River Suck is just a stone’s throw away if you fancy a spot of fishing and should you require a Fishing Guide, Boats, Tackle etc., this can be organised for you.
And then to finish off your relaxing day why not have a meal at home where all the cuisine can be pre-arranged and delivered to your door. Sounds good?!!!!
Day 5 – Visit Athlone Athlone town has so much to offer for all the family. It offers extensive choices of quality restaurants, shops including 2 shopping centres, pubs, sports & leisure activities, entertainment and of course Athlone Castle. Maybe the children might like to watch a film at the 6-Screen Cinema (090) 6476655. Their might be even something exciting to see at The Dean Crowe Theatre.
Day 6 – Golf & leisure If Adults fancy a game of Golf, I would recommend Roscommon Golf Club 090 6626382 or the Hudson Bay Golf Club 090 6492073.

Day 7 – Visit Roscommon Town We know that you have some packing to do but every Friday morning there is a Farmers Market in Roscommon Town, you will find lots of home produce there to bring home as souvenirs to your loved ones. There is a great atmosphere around and it’s worth going to. Maybe in the afternoon you might like to go for a Swim in Roscommon Pool & Fitness Centre (090) 6628219 or perhaps go Horse Riding at Mount Cashel Equestrian Centre (086)3270984
Cycling Route: For Cycling Enthusiasts Cloonliss Lodge is an ideal location which will take you into the heart of the countryside with it's beauty all around you through bogland and woodland areas and with very little traffic to annoy you.
Or maybe simply "Relax, Unwind, Kick your Shoes off" and enjoy our luxury house with it's natural beauty that surrounds it!
Night Time Entertainment Why not mingle with the locals choosing from one of our local pubs ie Ballygar, Athleague or Four Roads. Live Music every Saturday night in Ballygar and Athleague. Traditional Music in Roscommon Town and also why not book a night at the Roscommon Arts Centre where they provide Drama, Music and Comedy Shows most nights. Pool & Darts in Ballygar, Athleague and Roscommon. Snooker and lots more in Roscommon and Athlone. Local Taxi Service in each area.
